The “Rape in India” project, a collaborative project between NGOs, photographers and non-photographers to highlight the violence and frequency of rape and to protest the injustice after the brutal and shocking stories of reported rape in India today. The Rape in India documents locations and spaces where sexual assaults have occurred, in order to encourage enquiry into social attitudes and structures, around gender and sexual assault and especially, access and design of public spaces, which can often inadvertently, help facilitate such crimes.
As a collaborator I photographed places where women and children had been raped in Bangalore.
